Kolkata: Truevis Technologies said it has been allotted 50 acres of land in Haldia by the West Bengal Government for its proposed medical equipment manufacturing plant.
The facility will be Truevis’ second manufacturing base in India and its first in eastern India.
The company stated that it foresees business of more than Rs 1,000 crore per year within five years of commissioning, with the new base helping it serve customers more efficiently, reduce import dependence for select product categories and support long-term expansion in India’s healthcare equipment sector.
Planned capacity of the plant is more than 1,000 units of large medical equipment annually which includes, diagnostic imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, radiotherapy and radiology equipment, and related components and assemblies.
“Haldia offers a strong industrial base, port access, power and connectivity, alongside a clear government vision for manufacturing-led growth. We plan to manufacture large medical equipment in Bengal for markets across eastern India and beyond, gradually localise components and build a skilled technical workforce in partnership with local institutions,” a Truevis spokesperson said.
