Delta Air Lines is gearing up for a busy summer with increased flights between key US destinations and popular holiday spots in the USA, Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean. New seasonal flights running at weekends will be added, along with extra flights on selected routes and extended flights on select international routes. This will provide more flexibility to those looking to head mountainous locations, oceanic areas, tropical destinations and family-friendly destinations this summer.

Delta Expands Summer Travel Connectivity Across North America

Delta Air Lines is strengthening its summer 2027 flight network by introducing new seasonal routes and expanding weekend services across major leisure destinations in North America. The airline is focusing on improving travel connections from important hubs, including Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles and Austin. The expanded schedule will make it easier for passengers to explore mountain towns, coastal communities, national parks and popular holiday resorts. Several services will operate between late May and early September, while selected routes will continue into October. The expansion also supports shorter weekend getaways and longer summer holidays, offering passengers greater flexibility when choosing destinations and travel dates.

Atlanta Gains New Seasonal Flights to Popular American Destinations

Atlanta will become an important departure point for Delta’s expanded summer 2027 leisure network, with three seasonal weekend routes connecting Georgia’s capital to destinations across the United States. The airline will operate flights to Bangor, Maine, from 29 May until 24 October, providing access to New England’s coastal attractions and natural landscapes. Services to Traverse City, Michigan, will run from 29 May through 6 September, connecting travellers to the Great Lakes region. Meanwhile, flights between Atlanta and Rapid City, South Dakota, will operate from 29 May until 4 September, providing additional access to the Black Hills and surrounding outdoor attractions.

Detroit Strengthens Connections to Mountain Retreats and Florida Beaches

Detroit will benefit from four seasonal routes designed to give travellers more opportunities to explore mountain destinations and coastal holiday areas. Beginning 12 June 2027, Delta will introduce weekend flights from Detroit to Bangor, Maine, with services continuing until 23 October. Flights to Bozeman, Montana, will operate between 12 June and 4 September, offering convenient access to outdoor recreation and mountain landscapes. During the same period, Detroit will also receive seasonal connections to Pensacola and Destin-Fort Walton Beach in Florida. These additions will provide greater access to the Gulf Coast’s beaches while strengthening Detroit’s connectivity with popular summer destinations.

Los Angeles and Austin Expand Access to America’s Mountain Destinations

Delta is enhancing summer travel opportunities from Los Angeles and Austin by introducing seasonal weekend flights to several popular mountain destinations in the American West. From Los Angeles, the airline will operate services to Bozeman, Montana, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, between 12 June and 4 September 2027. These destinations provide access to national parks, mountain scenery and outdoor activities. Austin will also gain seasonal flights to Kalispell and Bozeman during the same period. Kalispell serves as a gateway to Glacier National Park, while Bozeman offers access to Montana’s natural attractions. The additional services will provide more options for travellers seeking outdoor holidays.

Boston and New York Receive More Weekend Holiday Connections

Delta’s expanded summer schedule will also include previously planned weekend flights from Boston and New York-LaGuardia, increasing access to several popular leisure destinations. From Boston, passengers will have flight options to Myrtle Beach, Norfolk, Asheville, Halifax, Charleston, Bozeman, Savannah and Wilmington. These destinations offer a combination of beaches, historic attractions, mountain experiences and scenic landscapes. Meanwhile, New York-LaGuardia will provide weekend connections to Panama City, Florida, and Destin-Fort Walton Beach. Both Florida destinations offer access to the Gulf Coast’s beaches and holiday attractions. The services will strengthen Delta’s domestic leisure network and provide additional opportunities for weekend travel.

These additional services will expand available travel options on established routes and help passengers plan family holidays, weekend breaks and longer summer trips.

Caribbean and Latin America Gain Expanded International Flight Connections

From Atlanta, the airline will offer additional weekend services to Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands, Guadalajara in Mexico, Providenciales in Turks and Caicos, Panama City in Panama, and St. Lucia. Detroit will receive additional weekend connections to Aruba, Montego Bay in Jamaica, and Nassau in the Bahamas.
