AIIMS Delhi Utilizes Blockchain Technology for Record Faculty Recruitment, ETHealthworld

New Delhi: AIIMS Delhi has announced the results of over 460 vacancies, in one of its largest faculty recruitment exercises in recent years.

The institute said it leveraged advanced blockchain-enabled digital technology to recruit nearly 370 faculty members at AIIMS New Delhi and the AIIMS–Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Sciences (CAPFIMS) Campus.

The vacancies ranged from assistant professors to professors across more than 50 medical and allied disciplines.

The educational institution said it received more than 3,200 applications for the 265 positions at AIIMS New Delhi and 199 positions at AIIMS-CAPFIMS Campus in a selection process that took place over six months.

It added that the technology used enabled it to execute a robust, secure and transparent evaluation mechanism and reflects its commitment to adopting innovative technologies in institutional governance.

“As part of the technology-enabled process, candidates’ assessment scores were digitally secured through one-time password authentication, while the final merit list was generated using predefined algorithms, ensuring a streamlined and efficient outcome,” AIIMS said in a press statement.

This marks one of the largest faculty selection drives undertaken by AIIMS Delhi in recent years across patient care, medical education, research and innovation in a wide range of specialties.
