Kazakh no-frills airline FlyArystan will launch direct flights connecting Astana (Nur-Sultan) with Batumi, Georgia for summer 2026. FlyArystan will operate direct flights to promote travel and tourism in the region. Direct flights start June 2 and will end August 29, 2026. FlyArystan will operate direct flights with Batumi from Astana every Tuesday and Saturday. Kazakhstan and Georgia have big tourism markets and are connected with the development of the travel and tourism sector of the region.

Direct flights from Astana will depart every Tuesday and Saturday at 5:45 and 6:50. The return flights will leave Batumi at 10:00 and 11:00. The flights will promote travel and tourism in the region for both business and leisure customers.

Boosting Regional Tourism and Economic Growth

The addition of direct flights between Astana and Batumi is expected to have a significant impact on tourism in both regions. Batumi, a popular coastal city in Georgia, is known for its beautiful beaches, modern architecture, and rich cultural history. It has become an increasingly popular tourist destination in recent years, drawing visitors from around the world. By making travel between Kazakhstan and Georgia more accessible, FlyArystan is helping to stimulate tourism flows between the countries and increase the visibility of Batumi on the international tourism map.

This new route aligns with the Kazakh government’s efforts to promote tourism in the region as part of broader economic development goals. With improved transportation links between Central Asia and the Caucasus, tourism can be expected to flourish, benefiting local economies and creating new job opportunities in hospitality, tour services, and related sectors.

Expanding FlyArystan’s Reach: Supporting Sustainable Tourism Growth

In addition to the Astana-Batumi route, FlyArystan plans to reinstate several seasonal routes in 2026, including services between Almaty and Samarkand, Tamchy (Issyk-Kul), Aktau and Baku, and both Almaty and Astana to Alanya (Gazipasha). These routes are expected to have a positive impact on regional tourism, facilitating easier access to popular destinations in Central Asia and Turkey.

As FlyArystan expands its network of low-cost flights, it helps make travel more affordable and accessible, opening up new opportunities for tourists to explore a broader range of destinations. By connecting Kazakhstan to popular tourist spots in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, and Turkey, the airline is contributing to the growth of tourism circuits that will boost economic activity in these regions. Additionally, as the airline offers shorter travel times and affordable fares, it encourages domestic tourism and regional exploration, benefiting local businesses, hospitality providers, and tourism agencies.

The Role of Low-Cost Travel in Promoting Tourism

As the first low-cost carrier in Kazakhstan, FlyArystan plays a vital role in driving the growth of budget tourism in the region. By offering affordable travel options, FlyArystan makes it easier for more people to travel and experience different cultures. As tourism demand grows globally, the airline is helping to make travel to Central Asia and the Caucasus more accessible to international visitors, promoting cross-border tourism in a cost-effective way.

This trend of expanding low-cost flight routes is particularly important in the context of tourism growth in emerging markets. As Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and the Caucasus continue to see growth in tourism, low-cost airlines like FlyArystan are helping to build critical travel infrastructure that supports both local and international tourism. These airlines are essential in attracting budget-conscious travelers who wish to explore new destinations without breaking the bank.

FlyArystan’s Role in Shaping the Future of Tourism

FlyArystan’s expansion, including the launch of the Astana-Batumi route, reflects a broader shift in the global tourism industry, where affordable travel is becoming a priority for many regions. The airline is strengthening tourism ties between Kazakhstan, Georgia, and surrounding areas by offering affordable and efficient travel options, contributing to the overall growth of tourism in Central Asia and Southeast Europe.

As the airline continues to add new routes and expand its fleet, it will help drive sustainable tourism by promoting economic growth through tourism and improving access to historical and cultural attractions across the region. This trend also encourages local preservation efforts as tourism revenue supports heritage conservation and cultural sustainability in these historically rich regions.

FlyArystan’s Impact on Regional Travel and Tourism Growth

FlyArystan is starting direct flights to Batumi from Astana; this is only the beginning of what the company is doing for the tourism sector in Kazakhstan and beyond. The airline is able to promote the construction of tourism infrastructure to stimulate the economy, create jobs, and facilitate the exchange of ideas, by promoting affordable travel. With more destinations like Batumi and Samarkand, the company will be able to promote more travel circuits which will be more sustainable.

The company is expanding its travel network and it is predicted that more integrated and valuable travel will be available in Central Asia and Southeast Europe. This will provide additional benefits to the local economies and the international travel trade.
